curator of lovely things: christmas in colour

I love a good Aussie Christmas! There is nothing better than gathering with family and friends over a chaotic smorgasbord of eclectic and delicious homemade dishes. A day that generally consists of going from the airconditioning to the pool then back again to finish off the festivities with a piece of pavlova and a nap.

In a toast to our summery southern-hemisphere Christmas I have gathered some colourful styling goodies that aren't covered in snowflakes and Santas - items that are fun and would look great all year round. Pops of red, green, yellow and turquoise can be dressed up with metallic pieces.

Curator of Lovely Things: Pastels

I haven't done a 'Curator of Lovely Things' since the 'Far Away' post back in June and thought it was time to do another! I'm loving pastel shades and want to colour-in my wardrobe and home with lemon, peach, rose, turquoise and mint. The colours are so lovely I can almost taste them. Reminds me of sorbet and sherbert! 

While it's still a little breezy in Melbourne at the moment, these colours have me dreaming of warm afternoons. Hope you enjoy this post as much as I have enjoyed finding all these lovely things. Read on to hear about my artwork print (No5!) and a couple of cute DIY ideas.

6. I thought this 'upcycled' pastel green owl was a really cute idea! You could virtually find any old figurine from an opshop (or maybe your old toybox?) and give it a coat of glossy paint in your favourite colour. So nice for your nursery (or a different baby gift for someone?) Or if you can't be bothered getting paint on your clothes you can buy this figurine from Blue Butterfly Vintage via Etsy

Curator of Lovely Things: Far Away

My husband and I fly out to South America TOMORROW! We are doing Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, then flying up to New York visiting friends. It's going to be an amazing adventure! So this will be my last post before we leave, but I hope to share some amazing photos from afar over the next six weeks.

Curator of Lovely Things: Yellow & Grey

Yellow and grey - such a sweet colour combination that looks so good in your home (or wardrobe!). In a toast to that, I have scoured my favourite online stores and created this collection of beautiful finds to share with you.
